🔒 Your privacy is our priority. CleanLoom processes all data locally on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal photos, videos, contacts, or any other personal data to external servers.

1. Information We Don't Collect

We believe in minimal data collection. CleanLoom:

Does NOT upload your photos, videos, or screenshots to any server
Does NOT access your location or camera, and uses the microphone only when you choose to dictate a question to the AI Assistant
Does NOT collect your contacts for any purpose other than local duplicate detection
Does NOT share any personal information with third parties
Does NOT track your behavior for advertising purposes

2. On-Device Processing

All cleanup operations, including duplicate photo detection, similar image analysis, video similarity scanning, and contact merging, are performed entirely on your device. Your media never leaves your phone.

3. Photo Library Access

We request access to your Photo Library solely to:

Scan for duplicate and similar photos/videos
Display thumbnails within the app
Delete items you explicitly select for removal

We cannot and do not access photos you haven't granted permission for. Deleted items are moved to your device's "Recently Deleted" folder, where you can recover them for 30 days.

4. Contacts Access

We request access to your Contacts solely to:

Identify duplicate, similar, or incomplete contact entries
Merge, edit, or delete the entries you choose

Contact data is processed locally and never transmitted externally.

5. Calendar Access

If you use Calendar cleanup, we request access to your calendars solely to find old, duplicate, or promotional events and to delete the events you select. Your events are read on your device and never transmitted externally.

6. Microphone and Speech Recognition

If you choose to dictate a question to the AI Assistant, the app uses the microphone and Apple's speech recognition to turn your voice into text. Audio is processed on your device, is not recorded or stored by the app, and is never sent to us.

7. Face ID

Face ID can be used to unlock the private Vault. Authentication is handled entirely by iOS; the app never receives or stores your biometric data.

8. Subscription & Purchase Data

If you subscribe to CleanLoom Pro:

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store
We receive anonymous transaction confirmations from Apple
We do not have access to your payment details, credit card information, or Apple ID

9. Analytics

Clean Loom contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs, and the app itself sends no usage data anywhere. If you have chosen in iOS Settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may provide us aggregated crash statistics that do not identify you.

10. Data Security

Since your data stays on your device, you maintain full control. We recommend:

Keeping your device passcode enabled
Using Face ID or Touch ID for additional security
Regularly backing up your device via iCloud or computer

11. Children's Privacy

CleanLoom is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app does not require account creation or personal information submission.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
