🔒 Your privacy is our priority. Clean Loom processes your data on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your photos, videos, contacts, calendar events, or any other personal data. The app has no server, no account, and no analytics, advertising, or tracking code.
We believe in minimal data collection. Clean Loom:

All cleanup operations, including duplicate photo detection, similar image analysis, video similarity scanning, contact matching and merging, and calendar cleanup, run entirely on your device. Duplicate and similar photos are found by comparing compact image fingerprints, and exact duplicates are confirmed by comparing the files themselves. Your media never leaves your phone.

If you choose "Select Photos" (limited access), Clean Loom can see only the photos you picked. Deleted items move to "Recently Deleted" in the Photos app, where you can recover them for 30 days. Items you move to the in-app Safety Bin are not deleted until you empty the bin. The Safety Bin is kept in memory only and is cleared, without deleting anything, when you close the app.

Contacts are read and changed only on your device and are never transmitted externally.
Before any merge or delete, Clean Loom saves a backup of the affected contact cards, including their contact photos, as files in the app's own storage on your device. You can view, share, or restore them from Contact Backups in the app. Contact notes cannot be read by the app, so they are not included.
If you use Calendar cleanup, we request access to your calendars solely to find old, duplicate, or promotional past events and to delete the events you select. Your events are read on your device and never transmitted externally.
The Vault lets you hide private photos and videos inside Clean Loom.
On devices that support Apple Intelligence, the optional AI Assistant answers questions about your storage using Apple's on-device language model. Your questions, the scan results it reads, and its answers stay on your device and are not sent to us or anyone else. The assistant is read-only and cannot delete or change anything. On other devices the assistant is not shown.
If you choose to dictate a question to the AI Assistant, the app uses the microphone and Apple's speech recognition to turn your voice into text. Recognition runs only on your device: on a device that cannot recognize speech on the device, dictation is turned off. Audio is not recorded or stored by the app and is never sent to us.
Face ID or Touch ID can be used to unlock the Vault. Authentication is handled entirely by iOS; the app never receives or stores your biometric data.
Clean Loom keeps a few settings on your device so the app works as expected, such as photos you marked "not a duplicate", today's count of free deletions, cleanup totals, and your preferences. They never leave your device and are removed when you delete the app.
If you subscribe to Clean Loom Pro or buy Lifetime access:
Clean Loom contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs, and the app itself sends no usage data anywhere. If you have chosen in iOS Settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may provide us aggregated crash statistics that do not identify you.
If you email us, for example with Send feedback in the app's Settings, the message is sent by your own mail app. We receive only what you choose to include, such as your email address and the app version in the subject line. We use it only to reply to you and to improve the app, and we never share it.

Clean Loom is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app does not require account creation or personal information submission.
